A little story about the image

July 6, 2015

Dan Doyle

This is one of those photographs that are often sitting there waiting  to be taken, but seldom are ever captured.
I was standing on the rooftop terrace of an appt. I used to have on East 24th and 3rd in Manhattan.
Looking around at all the beautiful twilight scenery, I was lucky enough to notice this right there in front of me.  The one appartment in the building with a person home and lights on perfectly matched the color tonality and density of the lighting on the empire state building. The other windows simply went to gray. What a fluke viewing this was!
I did not have a tripod, so I did everything possible to hold still and grab this once in a lifetime image.

Hope you like it as much as I do  :D
